The park in front of the Olympic museum is a sculpture garden with many statues related to sport. In 2013, when we visited Lausanne, the museum and park was in reconstruction. Several statues were taken away for restauration and maintenance, others were placed temporarily. This is one of those temporary, depicting a fisherman dragging cockles or mussels from the waterside. These datasets have been acquired and processed by the students of the Digital 3D Geometry Course taught by Prof. Mark Pauly at the School of Computer and Communication Sciences at EPFL, Switzerland. Please visit http://lgg.epfl.ch/statues for more information.   This object is part of "Scan The World". Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free. Scan the World is an open source, community effort, if you have interesting items around you and would like to contribute, email [email protected] to find out how you can help.
