So-called Goddess from Tarentum. This sculpture comes from Tarentum or Locri, Italy, and represents a goddess, but as there are no telling attributes, she cannot be specifically identified (possibly Persephone, Hera or Aphrodite). We can assume that she held an offering bowl in her right hand at some point and we can say for sure that she was used as a cult image in a sanctuary in Southern Italy.
