Early christian marble sarcophagus with scenes from the New Testament 4th century A.D., Barcelona. Collected by the Acadèmia de Bones Lletres in the s. XIX. We know it from the s. XVIII, when he was in front of a hostel called Sabre in Barcelona. The sarcophagus was transferred from Barcelona to Geneva during the Spanish Civil War (1936-39) and after the war, in 1939, it arrived by train to Madrid. On June 19 of that year, Martín Almagro, the new director of the Archaeological Museum of Barcelona, ​​recivet it along with 68 other boxes. Since then it has been in the Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya (MAC).
