The original Gothic coat of arms on the south transept pillar of St Barbara cathedral in Kutná Hora (Czech Republic) was severely damaged in the 19th century. A drawing from the sketchbook in Josef Mockers's workshop from the 1880s provides an idea of what it looked like. The town was known for its silver mines in the middle ages and at one point, Kutná Hora provided the whole Czech Kingdom with silver currency. The model of the miners carrying the coat of arms was designed to look as much as the Gothic original as possible.
