Being able to program is becoming not only one of the most important skills in the workplace but it also allows you to play with the coolest toys coming onto the market. This Arduino based toy car combines Arduino programming and 3D printing to make a highly customisable project for anyone who wants to try their hand at programming, electronics and customised 3D design. This simple template comes with an introductory guide detailing where you can find everything you need to get started and even coded Quickfix files to get you going! This project is based upon the user friendly Scratch coding platform currently used in schools throughout the UK to meet new measures making programming a compulsory part of the curriculum for all ages.   This project is aimed towards 7-14 year olds however can be used and developed by anyone who wants a programmable toy car. This is the blank lid version however more covers will be shortly available as well as other Arduino based projects.

Join 3D printing they said, be the future of humanity. So i'm here now having a look about the place. Having recently graduated from Imperial College in Medical engineering I have had the great opportunity of working in house for myminifactory. I strive to develop products which are inherently useful and loved. I have enjoyed designing and developing a range of Arduino based toys to help kids of all ages learn to program. My projects aim to bring as much fun and interactive hardware into programming as possible to make the experience as hands on as possible. Having grown up on a farm in Ireland I would find it hard to recommend any toy which does not involve mud or climbing trees but I'm aiming to make this range of toys highly customisable and engaging. Please give me any feedback you have or any requests, especially with Halloween around the corner ;)
