This thing contains all parts (exept the number tokens) for the expansion "explorers & pirates" for the settler of catan basic game I already made (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1238980). for the roules check out here: http://www.catan.com/service/game-rules or here: https://kelvsyc.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/r13.pdf To play this scenario, you need all the pieces from the main game (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1238980). These are the total numbers of pieces you need for this game. Pieces you already printed with the main game or the seafarers expansion can be subtracted from those numbers: Tiles (landscapes): for the tiles (sea, wheat, gold, wool, ore, wood, brick) check out the main game (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1238980) or my seafarers expansion (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1393862). Those tiles are not included in the files. 62 x sea 5 x wheat 6 x gold 6 x wool 6 x ore 6 x wood 4 x brick 2 x spicefield A 2 x spicefield B 2 x spicefield C 1 x council of catan 6 x fishfield (nr.:1,2,3,4,5,6) 1 x counter fish 1 x counter spice 1 x counter gold General game-pieces: 6 x fish 24 x spice 1 x counter-fish-victory-point 1 x counter-spice-victory-point 1 x counter-gold-victory-point 6 x piratelair (nr.:2,3,5,6,8,11) 40 x coins (1) 36 x coins (3) Game-pieces for players: 16 x ports (4 for each player) 36 x units (9 for each player) 12 x ships (3 for each player) 8 x settlers (2 for each player) 4 x corsaires (1 for each player) 12 x counter-player (3 for each player) Pieces to determine the discovered landscapes:to have a better overview, print the pieces: ore, brick, wool, wheat, wood in an other color than the other pieces. 16 x choice-number-cover 1 16 x choice-number-cover 2 6 x choice-ore 4 x choice-sea 2 x choice-spice-a 2 x choice-spice-b 2 x choice-spice-c 1 x choice-fish-1 1 x choice-fish-2 1 x choice-fish-3 1 x choice-fish-4 1 x choice-fish-5 1 x choice-fish-6 3 x choice-ore 2 x choice-brick 2 x choice-wood 3 x choice-wheat 2 x choice-wool 1 x choice-number-tokens-set (6 number-tokens) INTERLOCKING PARTS (NO MAGNETS NEEDED): If you don't want to use magnets, I have made some interlocking parts for the landscapes here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2035221 Like for the other expansions I had to do slight changes to the gameplay and material because of the 3d-design of the tiles. The changes are the followings: When youre preparing the game, split all the choice-tokens in two groups (compare the distribution from the maual for the different scenarios). Turn all the tokens upside down. Place on top of the thinner tokens (wood, wool, wheat, brick, ore) one of the number-tokens. Then cover each combination with a choice-number-cover (there are two different types of covers with a different symbol for both groups) and mix them. Every time you discover a new landscape, just turn around one of the covers to see whats unter it. Piratelairs: when you discover a gold-tile, put one of the piratelairs on top of it. When the piratelaire has been defeted (with 3 units on it), turn it around to check out the number on the buttom. Then put one of the printed number tokens with the same number on the tile. Counters: As in the original game I designed three different counters for the different Scenarios. When you start the game, put all four counter-player-pieces and the counter-victory-points on top of the counter. When the game goes on, just start to moove the player-pieces on the counter. I recomand you, that you allways place the first player that gets to a certain level on the left side of one of the levels on the counter. Like this you allways know who has reached this level first. The victory-points can be removed from the counter and be given to the player that leads. Ships & Ports: There are no changes between the original game and those pieces. On the ships you can place the units, fishes, spices and settlers. On the ports settlers and units.
