This is a marble sculpture by the Russian artist Pyotr Stavasser (1816-1850) depicting a Satyr kneeling at a Nymph's feet. Satyrs, also known as a silenos, were promiscuous companions of the god Dionysus. In art they are always depicted nude, often with a permanent, exaggerated erection and are known to persistently attempt to seduce nymphs and mortal women, usually with little success. This is a probable reading of this sculpture.
